WEEKLY CLASSES
KRIPALU YOGA
MONDAYS 10:30AM ET
on Better Yoga
An approachable, safe practice for all levels. Expect a gentle opening of joints, focusing on one posture at a time. The goal of this class is interoception: the internal sensory feedback the brain receives from the body; it tells the brain about what’s going on inside the body. Postures and breathing techniques attuned to the current season.
OXYGEN ADVANTAGE® FOR YOGA
FRIDAYS 9AM ET
on Better Yoga
This class utilizes Oxygen Advantage® techniques and applies them to yoga asana. The class focuses on the three dimensions of functional breathing: biochemistry, biomechanics, and psychophysiology. You will also improve your tolerance to carbon dioxide through the simulation of high altitude training.
KATONAH YOGA®
SATURDAYS 9AM ET
on Better Yoga
Katonah Yoga® will shed light on your unconscious habits, both on and off the mat, and help you organize yourself to improve your practice. Through finding a sense of personal measure and striving toward geometric archetypes, your body will open up potential and make room for the poses to be buoyant, light and full of joy.
Here’s what people are saying…
-
"I gotta say, it’s not super easy to find a yoga teacher who understands biomechanics at the level that you do, and the way you integrate it with the OA principles is just really masterful, and helped me get so much out of that class. Thank you. I feel great right now, in spite of all the sweat 😄"
Griffin C.
-
"I feel really good after each one of your classes. I have done yoga in different forms for 20+ years in different places and modes. But your classes leave me feeling most well."
Luise W.
-
"I just wanted to drop you a note to say this morning's class was great. I never did a whole Friday with you, and the Oxygen Advantage® breathing technique is really great for body and mind and you gave fantastic visuals along the way. Looking forward to the next class."

The Practice
Katonah Yoga® incorporates classical Hatha yoga with Taoist theory, Chinese medicine, sacred geometry, magic, mythology, metaphor and imagination in a practical framework designed to potentiate personal and communal well-being. We frame the practice using maps of time and personal space, which help beginners and seasoned yogis define and refine their approach.
Incorporating themes using asana as origami, manipulating form for function, and developing a sense of personal measure.
Katonah Yoga is organized around three principles of esoteric dialogue:
All polarities are mediated by trinity
The universe has pattern, pattern implies intelligence
By virtue of repetition there is potential for insight
